troubleshooting and commissioning activates for electrical power equipment
for industrial and utility customers. Equipment knowledge to include the
majority of the following; low voltage and medium voltage switchgear,
motors & generators, motor controls, generator controls, transformers,
protective relays and various substation equipment. VFD (Variable Frequency
Drives) & PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) experience is a plus.
Power System Study experience is a plus. Provide on-site technical and
operational sup****t in the installation and maintenance of electrical
equipment and systems. Candidate should be able to provide training of
customers to maintain electrical equipment. Develops and submits re****ts
covering all job activity. Has knowledge and ability to use electrical
measurement equipment including; multimeters, meggers, DLROs (Ductors),
breaker test sets, relay test sets, TTRs (Transformer turns ratio), and
various other electrical test equipment. Candidate will be required to
manage calibration and maintenance of assigned test equipment. Candidate
may develop the planning and estimating of labor categories, rates,
material dollar costs, trans****tation expenses and per diem rates to
complete small proposals. Candidate should be able to read and understand
electrical plans, specifications, drawings, and installation schematics.
Candidate should be familiar with electrical safety procedures including
NFPA70E and OSHA regulations. Candidate should display a high level of
critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to electrical system
problems.

Guides on-site technical and operational sup****t in the design,
development, installation and maintenance of equipment and systems of a
very complex nature. Guides very complex site surveys to develop base or
installation design plans. Guides training customers to maintain and
adjust very complex equipment. Develops and submits re****ts covering all
job activity. Guides the maintenance of very complex tools, test
equipment, calibration items, etc. May develop the planning and estimating
of labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, trans****tation expenses
and per diem rates to complete very complex proposals. Guides the review
of very complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and
provides continual guidance throughout task duration.
Key Responsibilities: Performs advanced areas of work for the professional
field. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by
existing procedures or practices independently. Displays a high level of
critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact,
complex, and/or cross-functional problems.
Education: Typically BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.
Certification may be required in some areas.
Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge
of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex
assignments. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and
procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant
knowledge of organizations business practices and issues faced and
contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically 8-10 years of
successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key
Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be
substituted for experience, where applicable.
