Description: A*****ek is currently hiring for the position of a Civil
CADD/GIS Technician. Our client is a highly technical civil engineering,
land planning and surveying firm with an excellent reputation for quality
performance. They are seeking a full-time Civil CAD/GIS Technician to
provide computer-aided design/drafting capabilities within a busy
technical consulting environment. Proficiency in Geographic Information
System (GIS) data management and mapping services desired; additional
skills including IT, database management, and/or graphics capabilities is
a plus.
Responsibilities include: -Skills in developing site layout and grading
plans (in AutoCAD, preferably Land Development Desktop), project
cross-sections and details and capability to develop earthwork quantities.
-In GIS, candidate should be able to , at a minimum, obtain electronic
spatial data from government and private sources, quickly develop GIS
projects and link environmental data to existing databases, and create
thematic maps and presentation materials.
Qualified applicants should: -Possess a minimum of 5 years full-time
experience with AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop Civil Design package
and an Associate's Degree. -GIS experience must be with ArcGIS 8
with Spatial Analyst and 3-D Analyst. -Have substantial experience in
grading and volumes using ACAD Land Development and Civil Design.
-Substantial GIS experience, with ArcGIS/ESRI products also a plus.
