Minimum Requirements : BS Degree in Civil Engineering required. Candidate
must posses a Maryland PE or the ability to obtain a Maryland registration
within six months of employment. Minimum 15 years experience in the
consulting engineering profession. Solid knowledge of the consulting
engineering profession, 5 years of which must be principally focused on
managing offices/large departments in private or municipal industry.
Proven track record of having successfully managed engineering and
administrative staff in the pursuit and acquisition of projects.
Experience utilizing legal, marketing, finance and human resource
functions in sup****t of office operations is desired. Strength in leading
and developing the team.
Job Description : URS, the Number one Design firm as ranked by ENR is
current recruiting for a dynamic Senior Leader in Baltimore, Maryland. The
position of Branch Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining
growth of our engineering and consulting for the Baltimore, Maryland
office. Effective use of strategy to provide for sustained increases in
the volume of work and growth of staff. The candidate must have experience
in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, infrastructure,
environmental, planning, and engineering design. Responsible for
developing and marketing pursuit initiatives for major assignments,
working with the operations staff in assembling teams of internal and
subconsultant staff. Provide guidance in preparing proposals that win
clients. Coordinate with National Business Line initiatives; serve as
Principal-in-Charge where essential for winning a pursuit. Effectively
coordinate with our URS business partners in other offices in region and
throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Local and regional travel will be
