We are seeking an Intermediate or Sr Embedded Software/Firmware Developer
for our Vancouver, BC based client
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and develop firmware for leading edge telecommunications
products.
- Lead some projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or better in EE or CE
- 5+ years experience in designing low level embedded firmware, very close
to the hardware ASIC/SoC development
- Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers(required for SR req
only)
- Solid C/C++ and assembler development skills and debugging tools.
- Experience with scripting languages (Tcl/Tk, Perl, or similar).
- Good trouble-shooting and hands-on debugging skills.
- Strong communications skills and interpersonal skills.
DESIRABLE/ASSET:
- Previous experience developing on MIPS architecture.
- Experience with communications protocols (e.g. Ethernet, SONET/SDH)
