We are seeking a Junior Hardware and SW/FW Systems Design and Validation
Engineer, for our Vancouver based client
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designing, building and debugging system level Hardware, Software and
Firmware to test Ics
- FPGA design and VHDL coding, as well as high speed board design,
involving both analog and digital circuitry.
- C/C++ driver development and application level Tcl/Tk scripting for
automated control of the system
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or better in EE or CE
- Experience/Knowledge of C, C++ programming languages and scripting
Language such as Tcl/Tk
- Good knowledge of circuit theory and high speed (>1GHz) signal
fundamentals
- Interest in digital and analog circuit design and test of CMOS
Integrates Circuits with embedded processors, protocol blocks, and high
speed I/O
- Good analytical, communication and do***entation skills
- Good team player, and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new
technologies
DESIRABLE:
- Experience/knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of FPGA's and VHDL coding
- Previous experience developing on a MIPS architecture
- Previous experience developing assembly code in embedded systems
- Hardware experience in high speed digital design and analog circuitry,
lab, or testing environment
- Exposure to storage protocols, concepts
