Responsibilities include:
* Sup****t the configuration and deployment for large scale J2EE
applications
* Provide technical solutions and determining overall design direction
* Provide technical leader****p
* Troubleshoot the application environment issues
* Do***ent system requirements, create database and infrastructure
designs, and validate technical designs to ensure accuracy and
completeness against the business requirements
* Attend project meetings when technical advice is needed and
communicate the project design to other architects
* Attend production issue calls and provide solutions to the issues
and develop strategies to make ongoing improvements that sup****t
system flexibility and performance
* System performance tuning, system monitoring and maintenance
* Handle large application sup****t and infrastructure build out
* Sup****t the OLAM application and STAC (J2EE architecture on the
WebLogic App Server 8.2/9.1)
* Oracle 9i/10g Performance Tuning/Strong Query tuning (load data,
write some stored procedures); there is a Production DBA group, but
this person will backup the ADBA on staff to sup****t database design
and tuning so there will be some sup****t from them
* UNIX shell script (Solaris)
* Ant script for daily builds
* WebLogic administration (app server and web server)
* iPlanet and IBM HTTP Server administration; sending and receiving
web requests
* Provide direction/leader****p for hardware infrastructure design,
load balancing, and infrastructure capacity planning
