Software QA Engineer
Essential Duties:
1. Assisting the team in testing efforts such as functional, system,
black box, integration, and end-to-end and the ability to perform QA
with or without technical do***entation 2. Developing test approach,
test plans and corresponding test cases 3. Utilizing our current tools
for test case creation and execution, defects creation and communicate
test results, including defect tracking re****ts, traceability matrix
re****ts or any other re****ts needed 4. Assisting in ongoing process
improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution, and re****ting
methods are effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and
integrated 5. Working with both development and the QA team to design
and implement testing/business requirements quickly and efficiently 6.
Assisting in designing test strategies, developing test tools and
implementing test cases to ensure highest quality deliverables 7.
Working closely with Engineering to understand the Product
Architecture and identifying, designing, or enhancing existing test
frameworks to sup****t backend test development
Required Qualifications/Skills/Education:
* 2 - 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
* BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years of
experience in quality assurance * Extensive experience testing multi-
tiered web application products * Strong familiarity with QA
methodologies and strong software test skills and demonstrated ability
to create a successful application test strategy including test case
development and test case management * Black box experience and
expertise * Desire to learn new technologies * Ability to work
independently, as well as within a team * Excellent written and oral
communication skills * Familiarity with bug tracking tools
Desired Qualifications/Skills/Education:
* Experience working in the energy management industry is a big plus,
but not required. * Knowledge of relational databases * White box
testing experience
