Oracle DBA
The Oracle DBA in Application Management Services will install and
maintain DB2 database software on UNIX, LINUX and Windows servers. The
DBA will be responsible for creation and execution of migration plan
for rehosting of databases to newer hardware. The DBA will create and
implement database backup and recovery solutions, including planning
and sup****ting disaster recovery tests. DBA will also monitor and
maintain physical DBMS performance and capacity requirements through
third party tools and shell scripting, and, will also be required to
participate in Architectural meetings with the client to establish the
target Infrastructural Design. In addition, the DBA will maintain
operational database do***entation and utilize appropriate change and
problem management processes and tools. Required * Associate's Degree/
College Diploma * At least 4 years experience in Oracle DBA role * At
least 4 years experience in utilization of UNIX/LINUX and Windows
platforms in a DBA capacity * At least 2 years experience in a Client
Facing role * Readyness to travel Up to 50%; travelling 3-4 days a
week, home on weekends * English: Fluent
Preferred * Bachelor's Degree * At least 5 years experience in Oracle
DBA role * At least 5 years experience in utilization of UNIX/LINUX
and Windows platforms in a DBA capacity * At least 2 years experience
in utilization of HP-UX, SunOS and Windows NT operating systems * At
least 2 years experience in Hyperion Essbase DBA, AIX and Windows NT
operating systems * At least 1 year experience in Xenobridge * At
least 2 years experience in Sybase, DB2, and SQL server * At least 2
years experience in a DB2 DBA capacity * At least 2 years experience
in experience as Informix DBA on AIX operating system * At least 2
years experience in migrations and installations/upgrades of Oracle
i8, 9i, 10g
