Summary Major media and Telecommunications conglomerate is seeking a Data
Processing Executive to manage their Data Processing function.
This op****tunity in paradise is for a talented IT Data Processing
professional who desires the culture and lifestyle of the U.S. Virgin
Islands with a global diversified media conglomerate.
Responsibilities Overall management of the Company's Data Processing
functions and staff. Communication Billing (Telephone, Cable TV, Wireless,
Internet) Customer Care System Other Sup****t Systems
Plan and participate in management education of systems and Data
Processing
concepts to be utilized in the Company.
Analyze resources utilization and recommend programs for improvement.
Identify potential areas of improvements to be achieved through new and
improved systems.
Evaluate proposed hardware and software technology changes and *****s
applicability to requirements of the organization.
Review requests for additional data processing services and identify
impact
on current and planned resources.
Develop plans and Budget for the Data Processing department.
Devise and implement Operations policies, standards and procedures.
Manage all aspects of the Operations function including scheduling and
performance
Assist in the recruiting of System and Operations personnel.
Manage security of all data files, programs and hardware, including
development of procedures for Back-up and Recovery.
Manage security administration including the development and assignment of
user access profiles and passwords.
Participate in internal and external audits. Conduct follow-up measures to
ensure compliance.
Coordinate with vendors, maintenance suppliers etc. to ensure maximum
hardware performance.
Maintain employee performance evaluations and make appropriate
recommendations for change.
Coordinate activities of technical sup****t, communications, systems
analysts
and programmers to ensure successful performance.
Ensure the availability of current do***entation, supplies and equipment.
Review and assign priorities to current software projects. Ensure accuracy
and effective user training and do***entation.
Respond to end user inquiries and problems and follow-up with corrective
measures.

Skills Required
Thoroughly familiar with AS400 operational requirements.
College degree and equivalent experience in Data Processing operations.
Maintain accurate and reliable data that will provide comprehensive
studies
required by Management, as well as Federal and Local Regulatory Agencies.
Establish and maintain databases for testing new and modified
applications.
Other activities as required by Management.
Knowledge of all FCC, NECA and Industry standard requirements - "Ideal"
Understanding of Telco, MSO and ISP industries also - "ideal"
