We are seeking a Manager or Director, Applications Engineering - strong RF
background, for our Sunnyvale based client
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a small team of applications engineers (in a hands-on, technical
capacity to mentor as well), sup****ting RF Tuner IC products
- Sup****t customers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or better in EE
- 10 to 15 yrs of semiconductor industry experience
- 3 to 5+ years of formal managerial experience, combined with previous
hands-on applications engineering experience
- Knowledge/Ability to put in place an applications engineering
infrastructure
- *Must have a solid background in RF hardware development (tuners, front
end components for WiFi, set-top applications); chip and board level
experience, as well as strong system level knowledge
- Driver level software knowledge/experience and debugging
- Excellent communication, leader****p and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel internationally
DESIRABLE/ASSETS:
- Specific knowledge or experience with RF TV tuner technology, consumer
electronic/TV products
- Knowledge of Video Systems and Silicon expertise (Tuner, Digital and
Analog Demodulation, Video Decoder, Mpeg).
- Program management experience
- In addition to strong English skills, ability to communicate in
Japanese, Korean or Mandarin
