Principal Application Engineer- Mixed Signal Power Mgmt ICs
Location: San Jose
Relocation - YES
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development of application engineering deliverables for
mixed-signal power management ICs for ultra-****table systems.
- Evaluate newly designed silicon as it is applied in the target system
such that operation and performance in the target system is guaranteed
- Ability to develop the collateral that will facilitate the adoption of a
new product by prospective customers through developing customer evaluation
systems, demo boards and do***entation that includes but that is not
limited to schematics / bill-of-materials / evaluation guide / application
software / a graphical user interface and application notes.
Requirements:
- BSEE or better
- 5+ years experience with power management principals and mixed-mode
electronics as they apply in low power systems such as ultra-****table
systems (ultra-****table systems (cell-phones, media players, handheld
gaming, digital still cameras, Bluetooth peripherals, wireless
appliances…)
- Expert experience in working in labs using PCs, Digital scopes, logic
analyzers and pattern generators, digital multi-meters, power supplies,
spectrum analyzers, curve tracers, programmable loads, and current
sensors.
- Experience with PCB design using advanced CAD tools with strong
experience on optimum component placement, PCB routing and an in-depth
understanding of the parasitics of PCBs and passive components.
- Application engineering experience with power management products such
as dc/dc converters, regulators and lighting management products for
handheld systems that are mainly powered by a single Li-ion cell.
