Remarks:
The main objective of the RTWTG project is to development and apply a
strategic process for supply/demand projections to:
* Analyze existing Radiotherapy treatment practices and provide clear
and consistent definitions across all treatment facilities/processes;
* Do***ent a clearly defined Radiotherapy Treatment patient flow
process and identify critical transactions which enable or impede
patient flow; and
* Identify/develop/implement strategic tool(s) to allow analysis of
the characteristics of the current system and modeling of the
potential effects of different interventions.
The Business Analyst selected will re****t to the Project Manager,
Radiation Treatment Wait Time Guarantee Pilot Project, and will work
closely with the ISB Project Group, DH Enterprise Architecture group;
and Operations group.
This mandate involves typical systems analyst duties associated with
system design and implementation, including but not limited to the
following:
* Interviewing stakeholders to understand and create functional
requirements;
* Designing and facilitating requirements gathering workshops;
* Do***enting functional requirements ("As Is" and "To Be" Process
Maps, use cases/user stories, business rules, etc);
* Developing and gaining acceptance for key project deliverables;
* Working with the business owners to define acceptance criteria;
* Writing, running, and automating test scripts;
* Assisting in the continuous refinement of team processes and
practices.
Mandatory:
Resources must have the following experience:
* A university degree in Computer Science or similar discipline is
preferred but an equivalent combination of education and experience
may be considered;
* 5 or more years of recent experience as a Business Analyst involving
analysis/do***entation of business processes and identification/
do***entation of business requirements;
* Verbal and written communication skills in both English and French;
* Experience with Microsoft Office including Project and PowerPoint;
and
* At least 7 years of IM/IT experience;
Resource should have the following experience:
* Experience in Department of Health projects involving RHA
implementations;
* Familiarity with health care solutions that have been implemented in
a hospital environment;
* Experience with interviewing stakeholders, and designing and
facilitating workshops to uncover and define requirements;
* Experience in do***enting existing business processes and developing
new business processes to sup****t the implementation of new technical
solutions using use case modeling concepts ("As Is" and "To Be"
Process Maps, Use Cases, Business Rules);
* Experience with the "Gap Analysis" process used to identify to new/
changed business requirements with respect to existing or off-the
shelf products;
* Proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to
sup****t the development process, and to ensure that project
deliverables are met according to specification;
* Experience with defining and sup****ting the User Acceptance Testing
process including working with the business owners to define
acceptance criteria, creation and execution of Test Plans, Test Cases/
Scripts, Defect Re****ting and Resolution tracking etc. (UAT);
* Experience with automated testing tools (i.e. Test Director);
* Experience with training to sup****t system implementation;
* Familiarity with Project Management best practices with respect to
Progress Re****ting, Risk/Issue Management, Scope Management/Change
Requests process etc;
* Experience with creation/delivery of product and application
demonstrations and presentations;
* Experience with MS Sharepoint; and
* Experience in security relating to data confidentiality and client
privacy issues in application design and development.
Responsibilities:
The approved candidate will be expected to perform the business
analyst tasks listed below as required:
* Conduct workshops with Departmental and/or regional health authority
subject matter experts to define and do***ent current and future
business processes using use case modeling techniques;
* Review and finalize business requirements, including business
process flow, user interface requirements, business process rules and
data element rules, use cases and, non-functional requirements;
* Provide sup****t for data mapping analysis, interface requirements
analysis;
* Sup****t the creation and validation of functional and integration
test cases and sup****t and participate in test execution and other QA
activities;
* Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including development of
detailed test strategy/plan and test cases/scripts;
* Plan and execute knowledge transfer to client resources;
* Provide or sup****t application training for clients as required;
* Sup****t the creation/delivery of product and application
demonstrations and presentations;
* Production of regular re****ts for the project manager showing
progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource
requirements, scope creep updates, issues, risks and dependencies;
* May assist in the preparation of one or more of the following
technical deliverables:
~ Use Case/Business Model;
~ Privacy impact *****sment;
~ Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plan;
~ Re****ting Requirements;
~ Test Strategy and Evaluation plan;
~ Test Cases;
~ Implementation Strategy/Model;
~ System sup****t plan;
* Liaise with the Departmental subject matter experts;
* Perform additional research.
