Precision Recruiting is currently and exclusively engaged with this
company to attract a Senior Verification Engineer for the team in the
Toronto, Ontario office.
What you will do:
* Advanced feature product quality and verification testing of the IP
****tfolio.
* Ensuring that VoIP products conform to industry IETF RFC standards
(SIP RFC, drafts etc).
* Performing advanced VoIP functional, scalability, performance,
robustness and regression testing.
* Development and execution of product test plans.
* Building simulated IP network setups representing current and
planned VoIP customer
* deployments.
* Keeping abreast of new VoIP protocols, standards and drafts being
developed in the evolving VoIP community.
* Keeping abreast of 3rd party VoIP products and capabilities
including but not limited to IP PBXs, VoIP Media Gateways, Session
Border Controllers, and IP Phones.
* Advanced SIP protocol level debugging and trouble-shooting tasks
* Other R&D tasks as assigned
What is needed to succeed:
* Bachelors University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering or Computer Science.
* Minimum of 5 years prior working experience with SIP based VoIP
products.
* Minimum of 5 years experience with product verification/QA test team
on a VoIP based product.
* Minimum of 5 years experience validating product compliance with
industry standards (ITU, TIA, RFC, etc).
* Working knowledge of an IP-based product testing life-cycle.
* Working knowledge of current VoIP related (SIP) RFC and drafts.
* Excellent written and oral communications skills.
* Ability to work with cross functional teams including development,
product-line management, and sup****t.
* Enjoys working in a fast paced, project oriented team environment.
* Ability to grasp high level product requirements and translate them
in a test cases.
* Qualified for or holder-of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
license.
