Position Description The Position is for a junior to mid level Software
Developer to work as a Programmer/Analyst (Technologist) within the
Equity Investment Management Team of Capital Group Companies (CGC). The
team's purpose is to deliver software solutions to various CGC
investment associates and related business departments that work for
Capital Research & Management Company (CRMC). The CRMC investment group
is responsible for managing our Mutual Funds Family. Our mutual fund
family in the United States is the American Funds - which is among
the three largest mutual fund families in the nation.
As a member of Data Management cluster, you will be responsible for
development & maintenance of data feeds used by ****tfolio Review System
- the flag****p application used by the ****tfolio Counselors and
Analysts in our company. This application is a sophisticated on-line
analytical and re****ting tool customizable to the specific needs of
each member of the investment group. The work would include integration
of data from various internal and external systems, in addition to
modeling and mapping of information into the appropriate business
constructs. Hiring Criteria Desired candidates will exhibit SQL &
Software development skills. The should have experience in using some
of the technologies (listed below), plus demonstrate good understanding
of the concepts & methodologies:
