Primary responsibilities will include:
* Design of genetic and molecular screens in various fungal or
bacterial systems
* Application of genomic and bioanalytical profiling methods to
identify existing limitations in production organisms
* Small-scale and bench-top fermentation experiments
* Biochemical and bioanalytical assays to enable high-throughput
quantification of metabolites from complex samples
* Construction of molecular biology reagents for metabolic engineering
efforts
Qualifications:
* B.A. or B.S. with experience in microbiology and/or molecular
biology; industrial experience is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and the willingness and ability to
perform as a team member in a dynamic, collegial work environment.
