SQL Server Database Administrator
Responsibilities include: Analyzing complex data systems and
do***enting data elements, data flow, relation****ps and dependencies
Developing automated and reusable routines for extracting requested
information from database systems Working in partner****p with business
analysts, data architects and application developers to build
transactional and data warehousing systems Managing, monitoring and
maintaining company databases Making requested changes, updates and
modifications to database structure and data to sup****t application
development Ensuring database integrity, stability and system
availability Maintaining database backup and recovery infrastructure
Query analysis and optimization in sup****t of the application
development team
Mandatory Requirements: 5+ years DBA experience 3+ years SQL Server
experience Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving
abilities Thorough knowledge of relational database theory and
practice Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both
independently and collaboratively with data systems and application
development teams
Highly preferred non-mandatory skills, listed in order of preference:
Familiarity with some form of scripting language such as Perl, Python
and/or Ruby. Practical experience administering MySQL databases
Practical experience administering Oracle databases First-hand
experience with high-availability strategies including load balancing
and failover Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in computer
science, information systems or a related field
