Senior Software Engineer
Position Responsibilities
=95 Soliciting, analyzing and do***enting requirements with the User
Experience and Product Marketing teams =95 *****sing technical
feasibility and alternatives =95 Evaluating and making recommendations
for component purchases =95 Quickly developing functional prototypes
that demonstrate technologies that are feasible for development in the
time and budget available =95 Developing deployment packages for the
products being designed, with future revisions and versions in mind =95
Maintaining and updating the requirements throughout the entire system
life cycle. Working with the test team to ensure high standards of
quality. =95 Mentoring junior team members. Identifying training needs
and op****tunities for the team. =95 Other related duties and special
projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
=95 Master=92s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent combination of
education and experience =95 7 or more years of experience in complete
SDLC =95 Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers in technology
and process =95 Excellent oral and written communication and
collaboration skills =95 Ability to explain complex architecture, design
patterns and new technology to junior team members =95 Must be highly
proficient with Microsoft .NET framework: C#, .NET 3.0/2.0/1.1. =95 Must
be highly proficient with Java =95 Proficient in Oracle and Jet Database
technologies
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
=95 Experience with Diabetes Medical Devices, Therapy management
algorithms and Health Care Provider environment desirable =95 Exposure
to HIPAA rules and regulations desirable =95 Ability to articulate
technical tradeoffs to non-technical audiences =95 Strong customer-
facing skills =95 Experience with Web Service Extensions and Microsoft
Application Blocks desirable =95 Experience with Install ****eld
desirable =95 Experience with Rational Requsite Pro desirable =95
Experience in Nunit, Junit, Ant, and Nant desirable =95 Experience using
Perforce version control desirable =95 Experience in communicating with
devices through RS232 and/or USB desirable =95 Experience with DevXpress
XtraRe****ts desirable =95 Experience in authoring, consuming and tuning
Web Services desirable =95 Experience in internationalization &
localization of Windows- and Internet-based applications desirable =95
Experience building interoperable systems with J2EE and .NET
desirable
