IOC Technician, Monitoring
Type: Full time
Location: North Denver
Compensation: Up to $58k, + Corp Benefits
****FT: SUN-TUES; alt WED: 7am-7pm
=B7 Sup****t of the Company Global Network, which consist of Layer1, 2
and 3 network components.
=B7 Coordinate with network service providers to resolve outages and
initial activation.
=B7 Provision network resources for internal/external Company customers
to fulfill their communication needs via network management tools, and
systems.
=B7 Provide network engineering/diagnostic sup****t to internal/external
Company customers, during network test exercises, actual disaster
recoveries and in sup****t of production services. This includes all
levels of problem determination and resolution using various
diagnostic equipment, and service provider resources to successful
completion.
=B7 Technical assistance to all Company internal/external customers
during circuit outages.
=B7 Assemble and update do***entation in the form of problem and change
management tickets.
=B7 Have a base familiarity with client base and the network resources
being utilized by all Company internal/external customers. Use this
information to assist in resolving network issues or trouble shooting
network outages or impairments.
=B7 Assist in Implementing internal/external Company customer's disaster
recovery networks, with varying organizations within Company.
=B7 Attend training courses, perform self-study, obtain network
certifications.
=B7 ****ft work is required.
=B7 College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational
requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
=B7 2 to 3 years experience in a Network control/management center or
Central office environment required.
=B7 Working knowledge in activating, provisioning, and troubleshooting
DWDM, SONET, T3, T1/Frac-T1 and frame relay/IP networks.
=B7 Working knowledge of SONET and DCS (T1, T3), CSU/DSUs, DWDM, TDM's,
fiber optics, router's, and switches is desirable.
=B7 Working knowledge of network transition language (TL1) is required.
=B7 Knowledge & experience with PC LAN protocols and connectivity.
=B7 Strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral)
are required.
=B7 Experience with a variety of switch & router hardware, carrier
services, network services, network management, network termination
equipment and associated diagnostic equipment.
=B7 Technical knowledge & experience with various network protocols are
required.
=B7 Strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral)
are required.
