Systems Engineer Sr.
Type: Full Time
Location: North Denver
Compensation: Up to $94, + corp Benefits

=B7 Act as Tier 2 escalation sup****t to solve product and services
problems in the data centers and on customer's hosts.
=B7 Monitor daily health of the Managed Systems Services server
environment.
=B7 Develop and maintain departmental processes and do***entation.
=B7 Perform operating system installations, provisioning,
troubleshooting and decommissioning.
=B7 Utilize Remedy for Problem Management and Change and Task
Management.
=B7 Provide sales sup****t as directed.
=B7 Provide immediate escalation of critical client problems that may
become serious service delivery issues or may be re****ted to executive
management.
=B7 Work with the Engineering group to help develop and test new
technology and solutions.
=B7 Participate in multiple projects and ****fting workloads.
=B7 Participate on projects providing technical expertise for the
success of the project.
=B7 Utilize the change review process and tools as required by each
project task.
=B7 Attend Design Review meetings to analyze prospective client system
design.
=B7 Provide post-implementation sup****t.
=B7 Provide education to others in the department and company.
=B7 Provide Disaster Recovery Sup****t.
=B7 Develop and update DR procedures.
=B7 Supply problem determination and resolution while on-site for a DR
test.
=B7 Train/mentor junior staff members as appropriate.
=B7 College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational
requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
=B7 Preferred BS in Computer Science, equivalent Technical School
training or equivalent work experience that includes appropriate
training courses.
=B7 Seven to Ten years industry experience in a systems operations
management or systems engineering role.
=B7 Experience with:
=B7 4 - 8 years experience with AIX operating systems in a production
environment.
=B7 1 or more years' experience with the following operating systems in
a production environment: Solaris, RH Linux, HP-UX
=B7 Some Windows administration experience is desired.
=B7 Strong Scripting skills required. Must be able to create scaleable
management solutions for an Enterprise level hosting service (1000+
hosts under management).
=B7 Sound understanding of hardware fundamentals. Able to make specific
hardware recommendations based on I/O bound, memory bound, or
processor bound applications.
=B7 Able to troubleshoot and provide resolution for servers with
performance issues.
=B7 Extensive problem-solving skills for debugging OS, application, and
server related network issues.
=B7 Enterprise level storage (Array/SAN) and tape backup platforms.
=B7 OS tuning and troubleshooting with DBA team for Oracle based
applications.
=B7 Able to create end to end system monitoring and re****ting solutions
using performance monitor, SNMP and or by integrating third party
products.
=B7 Other requirements:
=B7 Extensive knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies
is required.
=B7 Strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral)
are required.
=B7 Strong problem isolation and resolutions skills required.
=B7 Must have the ability to lead and direct vendors to assist them in
their efforts.
=B7 Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement.
=B7 Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.
=B7 Excellent communications skills (written and oral) are required.
=B7 Strong time management and organizational skill are required.
=B7 Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, as
well as independently.
