Systems Engineer
Location: North Denver
Type: Full Time
Compensation: Up to $80+, benefits
Days: Monday - Friday + On Call
=B7 Dedication to providing world class customer service.
=B7 Act as Tier 2 escalation sup****t to solve product and services
problems in the data centers and on customer's hosts.
=B7 Monitor daily health of the Managed Systems Services server
environment.
=B7 Develop and maintain departmental processes and do***entation.
=B7 Perform operating system installations, provisioning,
troubleshooting and decommissioning.
=B7 Utilize Remedy for Problem Management and Change and Task
Management.
=B7 Provide sales sup****t as directed.
=B7 Provide immediate escalation of critical client problems that may
become serious service delivery issues or may be re****ted to executive
management.
=B7 Work with the Engineering group to help develop and test new
technology and solutions.
=B7 Participate in multiple projects and ****fting workloads.
=B7 Participate on projects providing technical expertise for the
success of the project.
=B7 Utilize the change review process and tools as required by each
project task.
=B7 Attend Design Review meetings to analyze prospective client system
design.
=B7 Provide post-implementation sup****t.
=B7 Provide education to others in the department and company.
=B7 Provide Disaster Recovery Sup****t.
=B7 Develop and update DR procedures.
=B7 Supply problem determination and resolution while on-site for a DR
test.
=B7 Train/mentor junior staff members as appropriate.
=B7 College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational
requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
=B7 Preferred BS in Computer Science, equivalent Technical School
training or equivalent work experience that includes appropriate
training courses.
=B7 5 years experience with any two of the following OS's : Red Hat
Linux, HP/UX, IBM AIX, Solaris , Windows
=B7 3-5 years experience providing managed systems services to clients
in a managed data center environment.
=B7 MCSE. RHCE or other relevant certifications.
=B7 Must possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a
dynamic and fast-paced environment.
=B7 Extensive problem-solving skills for, operating systems,
application, and network issues.
=B7 Experience providing services with a data center outsourcer, MSP or
web hosting business.
=B7 Experience with clustering.
=B7 Scripting knowledge desirable.
=B7 Experience with Opsware management platform.
=B7 Experience with Concord SystemEDGE monitoring platform.
=B7 Experience with SAN (disk).
=B7 Experience with TSM backup software.
=B7 Understanding of HP/UNIX, Solaris, Windows, Linux, and TCP/IP.
=B7 Understanding of midrange and storage technologies.
=B7 Understanding of network technologies.
=B7 Self-motivated and flexible to accommodate possible changes in
business strategies.
=B7 Excellent written and verbal skills.
=B7 Excellent organizational and time management skills.
=B7 Team player, can lead or follow as necessary.
=B7 Ability to participate in off-hours and weekend sup****t.
