Network Engineer II, Supervisor - FT - North Denver

 Network Engineer II, Supervisor
Type: Full Time
Location North Denver
Compensation:  Up to $80, Corp Benefits

****FT Sunday - Tuesday with alternating Wednesday 7am - 7pm

=B7 Provide layer 1-4 network sup****t for production and disaster
recovery customers. This includes all levels of problem determination
and resolution using various diagnostic techniques, equipment, and
service provider resources to successful completion.
=B7 Assemble and update do***entation in the form of trouble ticket
logs.
=B7 Provide technical assistance to all Company internal/external
customers during network outages.
=B7 Coordinate with network service providers (ISP's, Carriers etc.) to
resolve outages.
=B7 Have a base familiarity with client base and the network resources
being utilized by all Company internal/external customers. Use this
information to assist in resolving network issues or trouble shooting
network outages or impairments.
=B7 Provide assistance/training to lower level engineers
=B7 Assist in weekly and monthly network maintenance activity when
required
=B7 Assist in development of business efficient processes for the
Network Engineering team=B7

Provide world-class customer sup****t and technical expertise for
Company customer networks.

=B7 Provide layer 1-4 network sup****t for production and disaster

=B7 Respond to inbound customer requests (phone, email, tickets)
Assume the role of problem owner & notification for service requests.
=B7 Assemble and update do***entation in the form of problem and change
management tickets.
=B7 Have a base familiarity with client base and the network resources
being utilized by all Company internal/external customers. Use this
information to assist in resolving network issues or trouble shooting
network outages or impairments.
=B7 Respond to customer and internal initiated phone calls and email.
Lead a team of Network Engineers
=B7 Provide training and coaching to network engineering team
=B7 In cooperation with other supervisors, develop and implement best
practices to drive efficient work flow.
=B7 Monitor and do***ent team performance
=B7 Motivate network engineering team
Attend training courses, perform self-study, obtain network
certifications.
=B7 Learn automated resource functions and terminology.
=B7 Learn alert management platforms, functions, and terminology.
=B7 Learn the Company product offerings.
=B7 Learn the Company clients & their services.
=B7 Study the livelink Library Help Desk procedures.
=B7 Strong network troubleshooting skills are required.

=B7 College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational
requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.

Must Requirements (including any physical requirements):
=B7 Five to Ten years industry experience in a Network control/
management center or Network Engineering.
=B7 CCNP or JNCIS certification within six months of employment.
=B7 Working knowledge of routing protocols including BGP4, OSPF, RIP,
EIGRP.
=B7 Working knowledge of the Internet concepts and routing architecture.
=B7 Working knowledge of spanning tree and layer two switching concepts.
=B7 Working knowledge of load balancing technologies , DNS and SMTP mail
relay desired
=B7 Working knowledge of the Company IP network and related
technologies.
=B7 Working knowledge of Cisco IOS, Cisco ACL's and basic routing
protocols is required.
=B7 Working knowledge of Juniper routers is highly desired.
=B7 Working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol and services is required.
=B7 Extensive knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies
is required.
=B7 Strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral)
are required.
=B7 Experience with a variety of switch & router hardware, network
services, network management and network termination equipment are
required.
=B7 Must have the ability to lead and direct vendors to assist them in
their efforts.
=B7 Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement.
=B7 Excellent communications skills (written and oral) are required.
=B7 Use of problem management software is required.
=B7 Strong time management and organizational skill are required.
=B7 Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, as
well as independently.
=B7 ****ft work is required.
=B7 Strong prior technical supervision experience required
=B7 Ability to lead and motivate
