Systems Engineer I
Location North Denver
Type: Full Time
Compensation: Up to $67, Cor****ate Benefits

=B7 Provide systems engineering/diagnostic sup****t to internal/external
Company customers, during managed systems services sup****t, network
test exercises, actual disaster recoveries and in sup****t of all
production services. This includes all levels of problem determination
and resolution using various diagnostic equipment, and service
provider resources to successful completion.
=B7 Assemble and update do***entation in the form of problem and change
management tickets.
=B7 Provide technical assistance to all Company internal/external
customers during systems problems.
=B7 Coordinate with the IOC and Central Operations to resolve outages
and initial activation.
=B7 Sup****t of Managed Systems services within Company Global Services,
including load balancing, Tape and Disk Storage Services, Operating
Systems Administration, Database Administration.
=B7 Provision network resources for internal/external Company customers
to fulfill their communication needs via network management tools, and
systems.
=B7 Have a base familiarity with client base and the network resources
being utilized by all Company internal/external customers. Use this
information to assist in resolving network issues or trouble shooting
network outages or impairments.
=B7 Assist in Implementing internal/external Company customer's disaster
recovery networks, with varying organizations within Company.
Provide world-class customer sup****t and technical expertise for
Company customer networks.
=B7 Sup****t of all Company Managed Services classified as Systems
Services.
=B7 Manage and execute all tier 1 troubleshooting procedures for managed
services. Utilize skills, education and training to solve problems
quickly for customers.
=B7 Technical assistance to all Company internal/external customers
during system problems and implementation.
=B7 Assume the role of problem owner & notification for service
requests.
=B7 Assemble and update do***entation in the form of problem and change
management tickets.
=B7 Have a base familiarity with client base and the network resources
being utilized by all Company internal/external customers. Use this
information to assist in resolving managed services or trouble
shooting system problems, outages.
=B7 Assist in Implementing internal/external Company customer's disaster
recovery networks, with varying organizations within Company.
Attend training courses, perform self-study, obtain network
certifications.
=B7 Learn automated resource functions and terminology.
=B7 Learn alert management platforms, functions, and terminology.
=B7 Learn the Company product offerings.
=B7 Learn the Company clients & their services.
=B7 Study the livelink Library Help Desk procedures.
=B7 Working knowledge in activating, provisioning, and troubleshooting
managed storage (tape and disk), load balancing, operating systems
administration, database administration, monitoring services.
=B7 Strong systems and network troubleshooting skills are required.
=B7 Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Solaris, Tivoli, EMC, Hitachi,
F5's is desirable.
=B7 College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational
requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must Requirements (including any physical requirements):
=B7 Two to three years experience in a Systems control/management center
or Central office environment. B.S. degree in Computer Science, or
similar is highly desirable.
=B7 Experience or be asked to sup****t a wide range of technologies
including: OS's -Windows, Linux, Solaris, Databases, SAN, TSM, Load
Balancing, Monitoring, Cisco network products, Disaster recovery
=B7 Working knowledge in activating, provisioning, and troubleshooting
managed storage (tape and disk), load balancing, operating systems
administration, database administration, monitoring services.
=B7 Strong systems troubleshooting skills are required.
=B7 Working knowledge of IT infrastructure through all layers of the OSI
model.
=B7 Strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral)
are required.
=B7 Experience with a variety of switch & router hardware, carrier
services, network services, network management, network termination
equipment and associated diagnostic equipment.
=B7 Technical knowledge & experience with various network protocols are
required.
=B7 Must have the ability to lead and direct vendors to assist them in
their efforts.
=B7 Knowledge & experience with PC LAN protocols and connectivity.
=B7 Ability to interact and influence change within the team that you're
working in.
=B7 Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement.
=B7 Excellent communications skills (written and oral) are required.
=B7 Strong time management and organizational skill are required.
=B7 Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, as
well as independently.
=B7 ****ft work is required. Proven leader****p skills in a fast paced
work environment is required.

Preferred Requirements:
=B7 College degree in Computer Science or similar engineering degree.
=B7 MCSE and similar systems administration certifications. Tivoli
certified.
