POSITION SUMMARY
Develop detailed specifications and carry through the design,
development and test of board and box level avionics products in power
management and distribution and or command and data handling
applications.
ESSENTIAL ROLE
Avionics Electrical Engineer must ensure that the specific design,
meets or exceeds all customer requirements. The design, test and
verification of performance will all be the responsibility of the
engineer once specifications and resources are agreed to. Will work
closely with the Lead Avionics Electrical Engineer, and with Lead
Avionics Software Engineer to assure integrity of the final product.
Must manage development within cost and schedule constraints.
ADDITIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in development of new business products through
proposals, white papers, and establishment of good relation****ps with
new customers.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of spacecraft avionics (ADCS, C&DH and power
subsystems), embedded software, aerospace technical standards,
interface standards and test practices is required. Direct experience
with design of those systems. Experience in digital, analog and power
designs is key to having board level responsibility. A clear
understanding of the bottlenecks in the avionics design process and
hands-on experience as a problem solver. Excellent verbal and
communications skills are required.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 7 years experience in software and hardware engineering in the
aerospace industry. with at least two end-to-end programs having
experience described above.
