Description:   JOB DESCRIPTION:

A full-time position is available as a Helpdesk Analyst with a financial
services firm in the Connecticut office, which has primary technical
sup****t responsibilities for the Connecticut office and 7 other offices. 
This position is 90% working from a manned helpdesk phone providing sup****t
for 1800+ users while administrating our Active Directory and Solaris NIS
database.  In addition to providing daily sup****t to our users,
responsibilities of this position include: sup****t for desktop software and
hardware, high level skills in Microsoft Office, Windows XP Professional,
Adobe, Exceed, Active Directory user id maintenance, creating UNIX user ids
and setting permissions on the UNIX file system.  Financial services
experience is desired but not required.  The candidate must be trustworthy,
reliable, show initiative and be able to work independently.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide day-to-day sup****t via telephone.
Create trouble tickets and dispatch Desktop Analyst to end user.
Sup****t hardware including PCs, printers, laptops, handheld and RIM
devices.
Sup****t desktop software and firm-wide applications.
Sup****t Remote Access systems.
Help deploy new software applications.
New user ID creation/deletion and maintenance.
Provide sup****t for our external clients with internet access problems to
our site.
Automating system administration tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to design and use system administration scripts. 
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team
member.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the
Firm.
Strong understanding of Windows XP and MS office applications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong customer service focus and experience.
