Description: Server Team Junior Linux Server Engineer
Linux Server Engineer with extensive experience in the design,
implementation, and sup****t of the RedHat Linux and Solaris Operating
Systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Level one engineer responsible for sup****t requests on all Linux/Solaris
systems in a 7x24 environment.
Automation of processes through the use of shell or perl scripts.
Develop and do***ent automated and manual procedures for quarterly review
of Linux/Solaris environments.
Work effectively with IT Management to scope out spec of projects and
future backup related technology initiatives.
Position Requirements:
Three years technical experience with Enterprise Linux.
Strong project management skills.
Strong technical server management skills. Fast-paced, hands on, doer and
results focused.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the way of formal
do***entation and status re****ting
Responsibility for installation and administration of 150+ RedHat Linux
and 25+ Solaris server environment.
Installation and sup****t of RedHat Enterprise Linux using Satellite
server.
Installation and sup****t for Solaris 9 on Sparc and Solaris 10 on x86_64.
Administration of high performance clustered NFS.
SAMBA implementation and sup****t.
Integration of Linux/Solaris with Active Directory.
Sup****t for Linux on the desktop a plus.
