Description: Server Team Backup Specialist Specification
Backup Specialist with extensive experience in the design and
implementation of Backup and Recovery technologies from HP.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage daily backup and re****ting of 1000+ server 24x7 Windows/Linux
environment
Fulfill ad hoc requests for data restoration
Conduct regular audits of data backed up for integrity and reliability of
data.
Develop and do***ent automated and manual procedures for daily re****ting
of reliability of backups across departments.
Work effectively with Senior IT Management to scope out spec of projects
and future backup related technology initiatives.
Position Requirements:
Three or more years experience with tape and SAN based data backup
technologies.
Strong project management skills.
Strong technical server management skills. Fast-paced, hands on, doer and
results focused.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the way of formal
do***entation and status re****ting
HP Data Protector installation and job management.
MSL and VLS backup devices
Enterprise Backup Advisor technology for backup re****ting.
EMC Avamar or other data de-duplication tools a plus
Storage Technology (SANs, Fiber Connectivity, replication)
