FCG has an immediate op****tunity for an Application Architect with over 10
years of demonstrated success leading application development and
integration projects within a Healthcare Payer environment. 
The resource will work with client Healthcare Payer's technology
architects to develop the supplemental specification, software development
do***ent and system integration architecture. The resource will work in an
onshore and offshore development environment and be responsible for
knowledge transfer and deliverables to both offshore and onshore
development resources. 

• Resource will need to have expertise working with relational database
systems, middleware technologies, (i.e., .Net messaging technologies) MQ
Series, and JMS. 
• Experience with standards such as CORBA, COM/DCOM, RMI, SOAP. 
• Project management skills are a must. 
• Integration experience with health plan core systems (e.g., Facets,
QNXT) a requirement. 

Principal Responsibilities include: 
• Providing architectural leader****p. 
• Working with team through requirements, architecture, design
development, and enterprise phase of the application development cycle. 
• Understanding a broad range of technology skills to examine existing
specifications and do***entation to create estimates around expanding the
existing technology environment. 
• Designing solutions to ensure architectural consistency with standards
Work in an onshore and offshore development environment. 
• Knowledge transfer and deliverables to both offshore and onshore
development resources. 
• Resource will review and analyze existing, integrated solutions that are
built around mainframe technologies, copybooks, COBOL applications, DB2
databases, Oracle, IBM AIX Unix servers, and Microsoft client
technologies. The Microsoft client technologies include DCOM objects that
are to be re-developed in .Net technologies. 

Requirements: 
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a software architect. 
• Expert in either Integration or Object Oriented Software development. 
• Experienced in RUP and UML, and SOA. 
• Excellent written, communications and presentation skills. 
• Experience in working within offshore development structures is a major
plus. 
• Experience in Facets or QCSI claims processing system is a major plus. 
• Enterprise and Software Architectural experience in Healthcare Payer
environments and in particularly Enrollment systems is a plus. 
• A broad range of technology knowledge that can examine existing
specifications and do***entation in order to help create technical
requirements around expanding the existing technology environment. 
• Demonstrated leader****p, decision-making and team building skills. 
• Strong people skills and demonstrated attention to detail and problem
solving ability. 
• Quick learner, self-directed, motivated, and posses a strong dedication
and commitment level to assigned tasks. 
• Proficient at working in a fast-paced, collaborative, project-oriented
environment. 

Candidate must be willing to travel extensively – generally being on the
client site Monday-Thursday of each week.
