Description: Clinical Data Manager
In***bent will serve as the primary company CDM contact with sponsors and
will represent CDM on the internal project teams. You will be responsible
for project timelines, deliverables, financial results, re****ting and
overall quality as well as the data clean-up process through data archival.
Responsibilities include: approves the building, testing and validation of
clinical databases; coordinates the receipt and processing of information
for projects (e.g., coding dictionaries) as well as electronic data
received from specialty groups utilized on projects; responsible for the
creation and maintenance of CDM project budgets and Project Plan (operating
procedures) for assigned projects; directs the activities of CDM team
members to complete project deliverables on schedule and according to
quality standards, requirements and project budget from study start-up
through archival; ensures projects are conducted in compliance with
operating procedures and good clinical practices; represents data
management on project teams; manages scheduling and time constraints across
multiple projects; maintains positive working relation****p with internal
customers and Sponsor; keeps Sponsor and team members aware of project
issues; develops and modifies a CDM Project Plan including data cleaning
guidelines, conventions, data workflow and other processes to be followed
to meet sponsor contracted deliverables; tracks timelines in relation to
work completed and keeps CDM management, sponsor and the project team
apprised of progress towards milestones; maintains a consistent, manageable
workflow for CDM project team by monitoring enrollment information and
communicating with project team to actively influence data collection;
accurately estimates hours needed to complete CDM activities and keeps
Project Leader and CDM management informed of resource needs and under/over
utilization; manages the CDM budget for assigned projects; and identifies
CDM activities outside the scope of contracted work, prepares cost analysis
do***entation and follows scope issues through to resolution.
Qualifications include: a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Life Science,
Nursing, Computer Science or related discipline; a minimum of 2 years
experience in working with clinical trials data; strong familiarity with
the data management process; familiarity with using a PC in the Windows
environment; knowledge of ORACLE , SQL and SAS is desirable; knowledge of
regulatory guidelines is considered a plus; and working knowledge of
English is essential.
