Description: Senior Java Developer
The Senior Java Developer will provide high quality web application
development solutions based on business needs in a professional manner
with little or no supervision. This position will review functional
specifications and solicit revisions and schedule, conduct and participate
in design sessions and reviews.
The Senior Java Developer will prepare design notes and data
generation/requirements per group standards based on an approved set of
requirements, prepare work estimates for assigned tasks, be a technical
lead on select projects, and provide ongoing feedback on deliverables.
This position will need to write well do***ented & performance code
including source code do***entation that meets organizational standards,
manage bug re****ts efficiently and in a timely manner, and create/maintain
any technical do***entation required to facilitate continued maintenance or
enhancement of the application.
The Developer will solicit code reviews for work and participate in code
reviews of others' work, create and run unit and integration tests,
deliver automated tests to QA for inclusion in a regression test bed when
appropriate, and thoroughly test on multiple configurations including
cross-testing others’ code.
Position Requirements:
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5 to 8 years relevant experience
Significant core Java programming experience
Object Oriented Design and Solution Architecture experience
JSP/Struts (legacy) and JSP/JSF experience
ANT/Maven build experience
JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSL experience
Application Server and Web Server experience
SQL experience
Web Services experience
Windows and Unix OS experience
Preferred Skills:
Eclipse Integrated Development Environment experience
iPlanet and SunOne Web servers
jBoss Application server
Servlet Engine (Tomcat experience)
Source Code Configuration/Change Management
UNIX shell scripting
Web application infrastructure
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
UML experience
Tibco Business Works, etc
VB, C#, C++ experience
