Description:   Electrical Engineer

 

Responsibilities of this position:

 

Competent in the day to day maintenance and trouble shooting of electrical
equipment in the plant with an emphasis on high voltage equipment 

 

Knowledgeable in preventative and predictive maintenance techniques as
they relate to electrical equipment 

Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations to improve
reliability and reduce cost, 

Identify and initiate projects that include routine replacement of
equipment, improve manufacturing processes, provide greater functionality,
or correct deficiencies 

 

Provide technical *****sments, conceptual designs and outline
specifications 

 

Recommend, design, prepare cost justification, purchase and install
equipment and systems to meet objectives 

 

Supervise activity of consultants, outside engineering firms, vendors and
contractors, assuring safe and proper installations to protect plant assets


 

Interface with utility company representatives to negotiate service
conditions 

 

Ensure projects comply with OSHA, EPA and other governmental requirements
and contracts 

 

Ability to train maintenance personnel in the most reliable, safe and
efficient methods of high voltage and switchyard maintenance and
troubleshooting. 

 

PLC experience Knowledgeable in new hardware and firmware engineering
practices, procedures and tools.

 

The Candidate will have:

 

BS degree in electrical engineering with focus on power (240V to High
Voltage) 

 

5-10 years experience in design and installation of electrical power
systems for product manufacturers 

 

Proficiency with the Microsoft office tools. 

 

Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills 

 

Strong interpersonal skills.
