Responsibilities of this position include:
Establish the appropriate trans****tation & warehousing processes to
effectively and efficiently manage business requirements.
Ensure product demands are met, quality standards are achieved and costs
targets are realized.
Define the appropriate infrastructure including people, process and
systems and the alignment and linkages throughout.
Proactively identify potential business issues and/or supply constraints,
develop risk mitigation plans and escalate, as appropriate.
Sup****t storage and ****pping conditions.
Determine routes and volumes.
Address potential excursions.
Outline storage space requirements and alternatives.
Sup****t Supply Chain inventory targets.
Establish strong relations and effective communication with key internal
and external stakeholders.
Sup****t the implementation of an MRP system and the development of
required SOPs.
Develop logistics strategy for interfacing with external manufacturing
partners, logistics providers and/or distribution networks.
Establish and build the appropriate organization structure to sup****t
commercialization and launch strategies to *****s the impact on space
requirements and logistics implications.
Interface with commercial manufacturing to understand capacity, volumes,
schedules or other potential considerations or constraints.
Analyze marketing forecasts and launch strategies to *****s the impact on
space requirements and logistics implications.
Analyze internal vs. external alternatives and develop recommendations.
Conduct RFI/RFQ to identify potential service providers, determine
capabilities and outline cost implications (sup****t COGS development)
Establish contracts with service providers.
*****s potential requirements for Europe, as required.
A successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Trans****tation
Management, or related field; advanced degree desirable.
Minimum 15 years warehousing, trans****tation, distribution and/or Supply
Chain experience.
Minimum 8 years supervisory/managerial experience.
Pharma industry experience.
General computer literacy and MRP experience.
Cold chain distribution experience is highly desirable
Proven track record for establi****ng and implementing business processes,
driving continuous improvement, increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and
implementing best practices.
