Our client seeking a motivated and experienced individual to lead their
Quality Assurance (QA) effort and build an industry-leading QA process.
They expect the QA lead to own and improve their test environments so they
can accurately predict an enhancement’s impact on their production
environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-moving
environment, is comfortable providing and receiving constructive criticism,
can juggle multiple priorities, and has excellent analytical,
communication, and do***entation skills.
Position Responsibilities:
Establi****ng and implementing the vision for the target QA process and QA
environments
Ensuring that each software enhancement deployed achieves its specific
purpose/benefit and does not degrade any other feature or performance
Working with the development team to understand our systems and use that
knowledge to grow and improve their suite of manual and automated
regression tests
Driving our developers and our development process to produce code which
is thoroughly testable and which meets their high standards for quality
Position Requirements:
College degree
Three plus years of Quality Assurance experience, managing an automation
project/team
Experience building and operating heterogeneous environments
Experience with automation tools
Experience with SQL scripts (writing and executing)
SDLC experience
Experience with white/black box and performance testing
Creativity, original thought and not constrained by the status quo
Common sense – practical problem decomposition and problem solving
Character – credits contributors and acknowledges and corrects mistakes
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Desire and ability to improve systems and processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
Financial Services experience
Experience with unit test frameworks (e.g NUnit, JUnit)
Experience with GUI testing toolkits (e.g. Quick Test Pro)
Demonstrated success at one of the nation’s top universities
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance
