Description:   This individual will be responsible for sup****ting the
company help desk as well as assisting daily operations of the IT
infrastructure including but not limited to software installation and
upgrades, system builds, and general end user and desktop sup****t in a
Windows 2000 Active Directory, Exchange 2000 environment.


The help desk position requires a logical and structured approach to
troubleshooting and decision making with an emphasis on superior customer
service. 

 

The help desk associate has the ability to make timely and appropriate
decisions and work closely with others to resolve problems/conflict as
required; the ability to multi-task as status updates on open problems are
expected (while new problems are in the process of being resolved).

 

Position Requirements:

 

2-3 years Help Desk Sup****t. 

 

Fundamental knowledge sup****ting TCP/IP networking. 

 

Experience installing, upgrading PC hardware. 

 

Help Desk escalation (tier 2 / 3) Perform necessary actions to complete
client requests. 

 

Experience working with Reuters/Bloomberg. 

 

Act as first help desk responder on key system alert/trouble alarms 
Resolve system errors and troubleshoot issues accordingly. 

 

VB scripting a plus. 

 

Good oral & written communication and interpersonal skills.



Must be goal-orientated and pro-active with a relentless focus on results.


 

Must have demonstrated ability to quickly and independently get tasks done
on short deadlines with attention to details and quality.

 

College degree preferred. 

 

A+ or other certifications a plus.
