To provide study design, analysis and re****ting sup****t under the direct
supervision of a clinical biostatistician with the CVMED (CardioVascular,
Metabolic, and Endocrine Disease) therapeutic area. The protocol clinical
biostatistician will have ultimate responsibility for the work of the
statistical analyst. The statistical analyst will be expected to have
sufficient in-depth statistical knowledge and shall be responsible for:
translating written and verbal statistical models into software analysis
code; ensuring proper execution of software code; revising software code
as necessary to ensure the integrity of statistical analyses; providing
proper interpretation of results to non-statisticians.
Requirements: Masters degree or equivalent in statistics. Ability to
program in SAS. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to
work in a team environment sup****ting several clinical biostatisticians.
Experience with Excel. Experience with crossover designs. Knowledge of
longitudinal analysis procedures. Experience in a UNIX environment.
Ability to extract data from databases. Knowledge of drug development
procedures. Background in biological science. Knowledge of S-PLUS.
