Status: Full-time consulting engagement, 40 hrs/week
Length: Long-term assignment: initial term 6 months
The Clinical Programmer will provide clinical programming sup****t for
clinical trials, regulatory and non-regulatory submissions, and
publications. Will be responsible for performing clinical data
programming activities that includes: Develop, validate, and execute SAS
code to create edit specifications, data listings, databases, and various
clinical re****ts; Im****t/ex****t clinical databases across a variety of
applications to/from SAS and ensure security; Lock and archive databases;
Design and develop SAS clinical databases according to company standards
and CDISC; annotate case re****t forms and develop database do***entation;
Create and maintain standard SAS format libraries, macro libraries, and
common program libraries; Perform SAS system maintenance that includes
software upgrades, updates, installs, change controls, and qualifications;
monitor SAS performance; Develop, test, implement, do***ent, and maintain
in-house clinical data management systems; Coordinate or lead the efforts
of clinical programming on assigned projects.
Requirements: A BS/MS degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
4-6 years SAS programming experience that includes Base SAS and SAS/Macro,
and program validation experience. SAS/AF experience a plus. Experience
im****ting/ex****ting and merging clinical databases across a variety of
applications. Experience developing, programming, validating,
maintaining, and do***enting of clinical databases. Strong knowledge of
clinical database structure and CDISC version 3.1.1. Knowledge of an
electronic data capture (EDC) system a plus. Independently and
effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and according to
deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability
to interact professionally with personnel at all levels within and external
to the company, and be a dependable and a team player. Initiative, sound
judgment and flexibility.
