Description: Department Supervisors train, coach and develop associates
in each department to ensure customers receive excellent service and can
easily find the merchandise they need. In addition they provide valuable
input in to merchandising decisions to the Store Management Team, Freight
Team Associates and Inventory Management Associates. Department
Supervisors have strong product knowledge and the ability to lead and
develop others. A Department Supervisor in the Millwork department should
have product knowledge that includes, but is not limited to the following
areas: Molding types and uses, exterior and interior door types and uses,
screen, storm, and security door types and uses and garage door types and
uses. A Department Supervisor in the Millwork department will also use
various equipment and machinery to cut glass.
