Description: System Engineer Tracking Code 7793 Job Description Analyzes
functional business requirements and design specifications for functional
activities. Should provide identification/fixing for the problems within
existing systems design/implementation of new systems, enhances the
existing systems and participates in analysis, design and new construction
of next generation IT systems. Responsible for understanding the needs of
the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products, and
creating requirements that will allow implementation by the architecture
and engineering team and COTS products. Performs traditional systems
engineering functions such as high-level system design, specifies
system/component performance and interface requirements, and develops test
plans; sup****ts technical and managerial efforts required to transform a
set of customer needs, expectations, and constraints into a product
solution and sup****ts that solution throughout a products life cycle;
focuses on defining customer needs and required functionality early in a
system development cycle; do***ents requirements and proceeds with a
complete system design and validation before allowing a system to go
operational; sup****ts system integration, including interface
do***entation and implementation; analyzes and evaluates architectural
consistency among related programs and provides architectural-related
recommendations to sup****t customer decisions; sup****ts data modeling
activities; sup****ts the development and implementation of risk mitigation
procedures; provides program development test and evaluation sup****t;
sup****ts implementation of configuration management processes and
facilitates the implementation of SE Best Practices and process
improvement; considers a complete problem in terms of operations,
performance, test, manufacturing, cost and schedule, training and sup****t,
and disposal; develops technical baselines for mission and mission sup****t
programs, facilities, and activities; must possess an undergraduate degree
