Schedule: Full-time ****ft: Hours To Be Determined Hours: Job Details:
Develops, implements, and evaluates an art therapy program for patients
receiving care from the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Fosters
positive and professional interpersonal relation****ps with
patients/families, physicians, hospital staff, community representatives
and visitors. Effectively uses interpersonal communication skills to
promote a healing environment. EDUCATION: Masters degree in art therapy
from an accredited art therapy program. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One year post
Masters experience as an art therapist; prefer experience with children,
adolescents, and young adults, and experience working with patients with
life-threatening or complex illnesses. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
ABILITIES: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to
relate to diverse patient populations. Sensitivity to individuals from
varied backgrounds and cultures. Competency with age-specific needs from
childhood through young adulthood.
