Relocation No Requirements The SAIC Homeland Security Solutions Division
(HSS) currently has an opening for a Sr. Security Engineer. JOB
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for designing, proposing and implementing
engineered solutions for an enterprise environment. Also responsible for
do***enting the design and procedures for new and existing solutions. Work
with the SLM & CCB process to ensure appropriate procedures are
followed to obtain approval for solution deployments. The engineer must
have the ability to analyze multiple complex solutions and technically
ensure interoperability in an enterprise environment. Works on diverse
problems and contributes to the development of the organizations security
goals and objectives. Must engineer new security solutions and
troubleshoot and resolve existing solutions. Candidate will provide Tier 3
sup****t to operations and sup****t customers directly when required..
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent
experience and 8+ years of related experience. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Must
have the knowledge and confidence to make recommendations to improve the
overall security of the clients infrastructure or program. Must have
experience providing oral and written analysis regarding design and
implementation of WAN security. Must be able to evaluate existing and
emerging security technologies, techniques and tools. In addition,
Security Engineer (SE) must be able to develop appropriate design,
acquisition and implementation do***ents. The candidate must be able to
actually configure and implement the recommended solution, and transition
control to an operations branch of the government. The SE must have at
least 4 years of hand-on experience with encryption algorithms for
data-at-rest and data in trans****t (DMVPN, IPSEC, AES, SSL-VPN), At least
2 years of experience security enterprise solutions such as McAfee EPO,
data storage, forensics, Windows Security, vulnerability *****sments and
remediation, firewalls, routers, Intrusion Detection Systems, WAN packet
devices, routers, and manageable switches. At least 2 years of hands-on
work with VPN, packet encryption and mobile encryption devices. Must be a
U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public
Trust Suitability. DESIRE SKILLS: Cisco, Juniper, and/or Microsoft
certifications. Experience with 20,000+ user environments. EnCase, EPO,
CSIRC or Security Operations Center experience is also a plus.
