Services seeks a qualified candidate for a position as a member of the
Human Resource Information Systems team charged with the collaborative
delivery of the systems and sup****t required to enable the efficient,
timely, integrated and secure processing of Georgetowns Human Resource,
Benefits, and Payroll information as well as the secure processing of
legacy data to create a suite of management information tools to sup****t
the Georgetown University Warehouse.
This is an advanced level position and the individual is expected to
establish priorities using a goal driven process that maps team activities
with user-prioritized business goals. Performs complex functions and those
requiring integration of differing complicated bodies of knowledge.
Analytical ability is clearly required. Functions as an expert resource
and answers complex questions. Exchanges, analyzes, and interprets
information requiring various approaches to increasing collaboration at
all levels as well as reducing complexity, achieving greater efficiency
while adhering to standards.
Specifically, codes Genesys HRS and HR-Benefits-Payroll applications.
Provides high-level technical sup****t that includes training, advising,
guiding UIS staff and clients on the Genesys System and Data Warehouse.
Develops, runs, and modifies programs using the appropriate programming
language in sup****t of all tasks. Creates re****ts, interfaces, screens,
and other processes to enhance the system, or to produce transactions
affecting changes in HR/Payroll/Benefit applications in employee records
or Data Warehouse using Informatica and Cognos tools.
Resolves issues alone, with HRIS team, network, desktop sup****t and help
desk managers and other University parties, or external vendors to resolve
systems problems. Coordinates with hardware and software vendors to obtain
and apply solutions or workarounds to pervasive system problems. Develops
procedures that will minimize the impact of a problem where appropriate
and effective solutions are not yet available. Interacts with the user
community to identify the cause and resolve problems
Installs and configures Genesys releases. Maintains, administers and
sup****ts systems software including creating and monitoring print queues,
and scheduling jobs. Coordinates with other UIS professionals as
appropriate to plan for and provide a computer environment (appropriate
hardware/software systems resources) that meets UIS requirements.
Participates in the planning, evaluation, development and testing of new
systems software, updates to existing systems and new hardware.
Posts web pages/do***ents/images to web server by FTP or NFS for EA+.
Assists in developing the Employee Self-Service Access EA+ web pages
derived from the Genesys HR/Payroll and Benefit applications.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree. Minimum four years experience
with the Genesys HR/Payroll System required. Natural Programming knowledge
and skills are highly desirable. Functional/operational knowledge of HR,
Payroll, or Benefit practices would be highly desired. SQL experience
required for the Data Warehouse. Web development with the following
skills: Perl, Server-Side Java, HTML, and JavaScripts also very valuable.
Advanced level: 5+ years work experience in Genesys applications.
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certification:
Genesys technical knowledge and skills required. SQL experience required
for EDW. Natural Programming knowledge and skills desired.
Other Skills:
Functional/operational knowledge of HR, Payroll, or Benefit practices
would be highly desired. Web development with the following skills: Perl,
Server-Side Java, HTML, JavaScript, Data Warehousing experience with
Informatica and Cognos tools desired.
