Description:   Do***entation Intern for Africa Education Program Tracking
Code 255984-604 Job Description INTERN/RESEARCH PROJECT: Create 1-2 page
&#149; program profiles? for Africa Education Programs 

TASKS: The intern will use existing do***entation (proposals and program
re****ts) to create a brief do***ent that summarize SCUSs education work in
each African country. He/she will:  ? use existing do***entation and
supplementary information from country office education teams to identify
critical program elements and results in each country ? work closely with
the Do***entation Specialist to develop a standard template/format for use
across countries ? draft 1-2 page do***ent on each country program, or each
sub-sector within the country program ? work with Africa Education Advisor
and the Education and HIV/AIDS Advisor to ensure consistency with
one-pagers under development in other sectors and identify cross-cutting
program components that need to be highlighted regionally. ? For countries
which are in Rewrite the Future ? Sudan, South Sudan, Angola and Uganda,
country briefs will use RtF formats and concentrate on relevant aspects of
the programming. Liaison will also take place with the RtF country
coordinators and DC RtF team. ? share draft do***ents with country
backstops, country office education team, and Advisors, incor****ating
their comments into final do***ent.

QUALIFICATIONS:  ? Excellent writing skills ? Critical thinking and
analysis; ability to reconcile differing info and identify most critical
points for external audiences. ? Knowledge of international education
field, and education developing countries. ? Experience creating and
editing do***ents in QuarkXpress (preferred) or other publi****ng software
(e.g., Adobe InDesign, Corel Ventura). ? Experience in print design.

DELIVERABLE(S): 1-2 page education program summary for each education
program in Africa (in some cases, may want to do a separate summary for
