Management Consulting Solutions Group is currently searching for a junior
DoD Enterprise Architect consultant with systems views experience.
Location/s: DC Metro Area Relocation: No Logistics: Travel requirement -
none Performance Profile . Develop an understanding of the MHS (Military
Health Service) war fighter and business requirement and to design an
associated information system solution that is aligned with the MHS war
fighter and business needs; is interoperable among the internal MHS system
solution components and external MHS partners; and is agile enough to
evolve as fast as the needs of the MHS change. . Conduct map and gap
analysis between future state enterprise architecture and current state of
MHS system implementations, and based on that analysis recommend
capabilities for integrated requirements-design analysis. . On a regular
basis, as the future state enterprise architecture evolves and the current
state system implementation evolves, update this recommendation
accordingly. . Sup****t the development a long term strategy for using the
MHS enterprise architecture repository information to model and simulate
proposed solutions in order to verify their effectiveness to meet war
fighter and business requirements and to test proposed solutions to ensure
high quality designs are available before solutions are actually acquired
or built. . Sup****t the development of a Systems Implementation Sequencing
Plan and update the plan at appropriate intervals. Position-specific
Required Skills: . Knowledge of and experience with the Department of
Defense Architecture Framework (2+ years) . Hands on modeling experience
using an Enterprise Architecture tool (Telelogic System Architect
preferred) (1+ years) . Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
Federation and reference model concepts . Working knowledge of Net-centric
Operations Warfare concepts and practices . Working knowledge of Global
Information Grid concepts and Net-centric Data Strategy, . Understanding
of the DOD 5000 Acquisition process with particular knowledge of EA
requirements (1+ years) . 5+ years minimum industry experience . Bachelors
degree required . Ability to successfully secure an ADP/IT clearance/pass
background check Position-specific Desired Skills: . DoD healthcare
background/experience, particularly with the Military Health Service or
Tricare Medical Activity
