The Test Engineer role is tasked with sup****ting the Test Lead for the
test efforts success. The role involves analyzing functional and system
requirements, creating test cases, scenarios and executing them. Test
Engineer manages defects to closure. The Test Engineer performs backup
role to Test Lead.
Responsibilities
1. Develop test cases based on Functional and System Specifications,
execute test cases 2. Implement automated testing where applicable. 3.
Defining performance testing scripts, metrics and execution of scripts. 4.
Assists Test Lead ensuring accurate test results are received. 5. Create
Traceability Matrix, ensure all system requirements, features and
functionalities are fully covered by test scenarios and scripts 6. Monitor
and enforce test team record keeping - defect tracking, internal status
re****ting 7. Coordinate and facilitate meetings between test team and
applicable development team members to identify and resolve defects
identified by the test team 8. Identify, communicate and track issues
related to product quality development & product management areas. 9.
Sup****ts development staff in the further identification of the cause of
the fault and assist with recreating problem scenarios when necessary. 10.
Participate in presentations as needed to cover project status and test
plan 11. Manage a defect life cycle system
Requirements:
1. 3+ years testing experience 2. 2+ years professional consulting
experience 3. 3+ Experience with Software Testing Tools (Mercury/Rational)
4. 3+ Experience with Automation Testing 5. 2+ Experience in technical
writing 6. Bachelors Degree or Higher required
