General Purpose

Develop, lead and motivate the regional selling team (staffing, training,
coaching), striving for improved performance and managing regional
business activities. Essential Functions

&amp;deg; Achieves assigned goals for order and ****pment volumes, as well
as margin percentage &amp;deg; Implements effective strategic
market-specific sales strategy initiatives/plans for regional sales team
and distribution &amp;deg; Manages regional business activities-budget
management, discounting, account planning and relation****p management of
customers, dealers and, where applicable, A&amp;amp;D firms &amp;deg;
Involvement with direct selling activities on strategic op****tunities on
front/back ends of sales process-develop/grow Multi-Location Accounts
(MLAs) in the region-work with other RSDs to identify additional MLA
op****tunities &amp;deg; Develops/grows/maintains dealer sales in the
region through business development, account management, and dealer sales
focused activities &amp;deg; Hires/develops/maintains/coaches a
professional, enthusiastic, competent and committed sales staff-measured
by performance results, employee morale, number of Cube Award winners,
etc. &amp;deg; Evaluates the performance/activities of the regional sales
team-makes adjustments as needed for effective deployment of personnel
&amp;deg; Interfaces with A&amp;amp;D Director(s) on overall regional
strategy &amp;deg; Drives business development within the region-monitor
and track op****tunities &amp;deg; Provides timely, accurate re****ting as
required by the leader****p team &amp;deg; Conducts all sales activities
and processes within the parameters of the HM Sellutions process,
utilizing cor****ate tools/resources provided &amp;deg; Manages iSPOT
(Op****tunity Management system) information appropriately in order to
approve wins and complete monthly forecasts of expected sales volume, etc.
&amp;deg; Manages within assigned expense/program budgets &amp;deg;
Performs additional responsibilities as requested Minimum Requirements

&amp;deg; Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration or
related field-Masters degree preferred-equivalent level of experience
considered if evidence of ongoing professional development &amp;deg;
Minimum 8-10 years of successful contract/capital goods selling experience
with a minimum 3 years of sales leader****p experience, demonstrating a
proven track record of leader****p success and knowledge of the contract
furniture industry &amp;deg; Some knowledge of HM products, services and
culture, as well as the ability to distinguish HM products/services from
the competition &amp;deg; Advanced selling skills, e.g. account
penetration, strategic selling, conceptual selling, issues-based selling,
consultative selling, negotiation and contracts (closing) as well as
ability to think strategically and execute tactically &amp;deg; Must have
strong organizational and problem solving skills as well as the ability to
collaborate and negotiate &amp;deg; Must be an assertive, self-starter with
the self-confidence and ability to represent HM in a professional manner in
order to gain a high level of confidence from a diverse group of customers
&amp;deg; Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, at
all levels of the organization (e.g., political savvy) and able to build
long term relation****ps with customers/partners (particularly at senior
decision-making levels within an organization) &amp;deg; Must encourage
new ideas and have an ability to generate/explore/clarify them as well as
having a passion for the sales process with an understanding of its
foundations, actively seeking op****tunities, calculating risk and
committing to action &amp;deg; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal
communication ability with strong emphasis on listening-demonstrated people
management skills and ability to work/contribute in a team environment
&amp;deg; Demonstrated high personal performance standards, the desire and
ability to continuously learn and must be results-oriented (i.e., holding
oneself accountable for results), as well as the ability to gain a high
level of confidence from subordinates and a large number of customers
&amp;deg; Demonstrated high level of integrity and business ethics
&amp;deg; Must be financially literate, possess business a***en and be
profit conscious &amp;deg; Ability to effectively use office
automation/communication software/tools used in the HM office environment
&amp;deg; Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without
