Our client is involved in the development and commercialisation of
several revolutionary technologies.
They are currently seeking to recruit a top class Mechanical Engineer
to join a small, enthusiastic team of mechanical and electronic
engineers and physicists to take prototype design through to mass
production. The role will involve significant liaison with
manufacturing partners and customers in the UK and Worldwide.
Willingness to travel and experience in customer facing roles is
essential.
You should be able to demonstrate that you are a talented designer and
have strong experience in the design of injection moulded plastic
components and assemblies for high volume production. You will have
at least 10 years experience in this field as well as considerable
experience of ProEngineer solid modeling and surfacing. Experience
of heat staking, bonding for assembly, designing live hinges and
flexures, and multi-shot components is desirable.
The successful candidate will also possess an excellent general
mechanical engineering background gained in high tech industries and
be qualified to at least BSc level.
