With this leading company specialising in the development of
applications for 2G to 3G mobile comms.
This key appointment is for a software engineer who is happier in
customer facing roles rather than working on 'clean sheet' design on
tomorrow's technology. They will be working with a dedicated sup****t
team, which exists to take care of customer integration issues on the
clients GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G protocol stacks.
A broad knowledge of GSM/GPRS is required for this role with a solid
background in embedded software engineering. Although primarily based
in the UK there may be some overseas travel to customer's sites
required. A good understanding of configuration management is also
vital for this role.
With at least a 2.2 in electronics, computer science or similar from a
reasonable university, you must have 3+ years relevant experience in
developing/integrating and testing software in an embedded
environment, fluent C, and some basic hardware knowledge with 1+
year(s) in development/integrating/debugging software for
real-time/embedded system in mobile terminals.
