Our client is seeking a Development Engineer to work on the design,
implementation and analysis of fluidic / microfluidic systems, analyse
current fluidics requirements, and research into fluid & sample
handling.
Essential to this role is the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics
(CFD) and the mathematical modeling of fluidic systems. A minimum of
2 years experience of CFD is required, preferably using FLUENT
software. Experience within a life sciences or similar environment
would be a strong advantage as would a background within commercial
R&D.
Ideally you wil be someone who fully understands what causes
cavitation and how to avoid it; compressible flow, viscous effects
and surface tension effects. You'll be comfortable working in a
multi-discipline environment, and qualified to a minimum of 2.1 Degree
level or equivalent in engineering, physics or other relevant
discipline.
