Interface Analyst (PeopleSoft)

Duration:                       6-12 months

Project Summary / Deliverables :
Our client is an international humanitarian agency based in Europe and
are currently implementing PeopleSoft HR and Global Payroll.  The
objective of this project is to replace their legacy information
systems with PeopleSoft software and to update its procedures and
practices in two main back-office services: Human Resources and
Payroll. Through this effort, our client is aiming to achieve:

1=2E       Ensured and improved operability of the Human Resources and
Payroll services
2=2E       Improved accountability of its activities, both internally and
to its donor community
3=2E       An overall improvement in the level of service provided to its
beneficiaries

Technical Background:


Our client's business information systems are divided into two
environments: IBM mainframe (OS/390, CICS, GEAC Millenium, Infodata
Inquire) and PC-LAN. The mainframe covers the large administrative
components while the PC environment covers office needs as well as
medium and smaller operational applications. The latter includes over
160 LANs across our client's 250+ offices, as well as a large number
of stand-alone PCs. Office software is split between Groupwise for
email and the standard MS-Office suite for the rest. Applications
running on PCs or LANs use a tool-set that includes MS (SQL, Access,
VB), FoxPro and Magic. The large majority of applications are bespoke.

The PeopleSoft system will replace, and will be required to interface
with, applications in both mainframe and PC environments.

Oracle 9i, Sun Solaris/Unix, Windows NT/XP, WebLogic, PeopleSoft 8.9,
Groupwise

Experience and mandatory skills


=B7         Responsibilities include confirming interface requirements,
updating technical interface specifications, development, and
testing/verification
=B7         Experience with the PeopleSoft HCM/Global Payroll Modules
used in Wave 1 (see module list below)
=B7         Previous experience developing complex interfaces in an
HR/Payroll environment, such as Payroll to GL,.
=B7         Must have minimum 3 years of PeopleTools Development
experience; minimum 1 year with PeopleSoft 8.x
=B7         Excellent written communication skills and proven ability
writing technical specifications
=B7         Has written conversions & interfaces from Legacy
applications (not just from one PS instance to another)
=B7         Strong SQR, Application Engine skills
=B7         Solid experience with PeopleSoft integration technologies
such as: Application Engine, Application Messaging, EIPs, and Component
Interface
=B7         Previous interface experience between PeopleSoft and
Mainframe/Legacy Systems
=B7         Excellent SQL knowledge (with Oracle experience preferred)
=B7         Good problem solving and testing skills
=B7         Large project experience

Asset skills
=B7         PeopleSoft 8.9 experience
=B7         Global implementation experience
