I have the following full time role in Toronto.
Sr. LAN/ Desktop - Full-time position
· . 7 - 10 years hands on experience in network and information
technology required and responsible for technical planning,
implementation,
management, and operational sup****t of the LAN.
· . Strong team lead experience an asset - sup****ting many
projects
simultaneously is desired Strong knowledge of infrastructure requirements
and components of local area networks
· . Experience with Active Directory / DNS / DHCP / Group Policy
(GPO)
· . Implement disaster recovery plans with regular testing to
ensure
that overall comprehensive recovery objectives are met
· . Participate in rotating 7 x 24 x 365 day pager rotation
· . To plan, implement and maintain system infrastructure services
for highly available and reliable services across office locations
· . Knowledge of VMware ESX
· . Assist a team to resolve high level escalations and ensure
operation of 24x7 LAN services
· . Experience with Cisco IPT voice communication
· . Experience with Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS)
· . Familiar with Storage Area Networks EMC (SAN) and VERITAS
Storage Foundation (SF) ideal
· . Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
· . Provide technical leader****p, sup****t and problem resolution
· . Knowledge of EMC Networker Backup and Recovery
· . Experience with Citrix Metaframe
· . Ability to create and maintain do***entation regarding network
configuration, operating and recovery procedures
· . Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of
technology
users
· . Management skills considered an asset
