JOB TITLE: Chemical Engineer
LOCATION: Decatur, US-AL

SALARY : $60000 - $75000
DESCRIPTION:
A major metals company in northern Alabama is looking for a CHEMICAL
ENGINEER
to join their team. The position primarily involves day-to-day engineering
activities concerning process operations and process lubricants. Job
responsibilities will include:
*
* monitoring and analyzing various process data to optimize process
performance
*
* ensuring adequate supplies of raw materials (ie. lubricants) are
maintained
to sup****t daily process requirements
*
* review and/or develop standard operating procedures as they relate to
safety,
quality, and process efficiency
*
* communicate effectively with supervisors and hourly personnel on a daily
basis
*
* perform weekly and monthly re****ting requirements for the accounting,
environmental, and management teams
*
* assist in tracking and optimizing variable expense spending in
accordance
with budget
*
* assist in day-to-day technical problem solving issues
*
* provide sup****t toward R&D efforts
*
* participate in various cross-functional teams relating to safety,
quality,
process optimaztion, and R&D activities
*
* provide sup****t for troubleshooting and maintenance activities for a
wide
variety of process equipment
*
* assist in specifying replacement parts/equipment as it relates to
process
efficiency, corrosion resistance, cost, etc.
The successful candidate must be a hands-on person who is willing to
perform a
wide range of duties on a daily basis and works well in a diversified team
environment. As stated above, the position primarily involves day-to-day
engineering activities concerning process operations and process
lubricants.
Requirements:
*
* BS in CHEMICAL Engineering preferred, but a chemistry related degree
with 3+
years of process related experience in would be considered
*
* Experience in lubricants, selections, analysis, and application a MUST!
